Experience Innovation, Sustainability, and Sonoma Wine Country
A $50 per person tour fee includes transportation, guided site visits, a hosted sustainability discussion, and lunch at a local vineyard. Participants may select one of two exclusive technical tours, each offering behind-the-scenes access to leading waste and recycling operations paired with a unique Wine Country experience. Both tours feature a visit to Recology’s state-of-the-art Materials Recovery Facility (MRF), along with discussions on sustainability practices in both solid waste operations and local viticulture.
Tours are limited to 24 participants each and are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
Tour 1: Landfill, MRF & Winery Experience
Capacity: 24 Participants
9:00–9:15 AM
Depart hotel for the Republic Services Sonoma County Landfill, including a guided tour of the Transfer Station, Recycling Center, and additional site operations.
10:45 AM
Arrive at Recology’s Sonoma Marin Materials Recovery Facility, a new, state-of-the-art MRF, showcasing cutting-edge recycling technology and system design.
12:30 PM
Arrive at Raymond Burr Vineyards for lunch and an engaging discussion on vineyard waste reduction, sustainability best practices, and insights from local waste industry sponsors.
2:30 PM
Depart winery and return to hotel by 3:00 PM.

Depart hotel for Reuse Alliance's The Reuse Hub, a community-focused center dedicated to reuse, repair, skill-sharing, and sustainability education through workshops and consultations.
