Nicolas has over 20 years of experience in the Recycling and Waste Industry. Soon after completing his Mechanical Engineering degree at Laval University in Quebec City, he started his career as a project Manager for Industries Machinex Inc. in September 1995 at their Plessisville, QC, Canada location. His main task was for development of design, system engineering, pricing structure, proposal to client, presentation and support of sales effort.

Nicolas quickly excelled to become Head of the Engineering Department and Sales in the US and Canada market (1997). In 1998 was also name Sales Manager and was responsible to increase sales in both US and Canada directly and with the help of existing dealer network.  In late 1999, he became President of Machinex Technologies Inc.  (US sales branch). and relocated the MTI office to Chicago to increase the company’s exposure and strengthen MTI’s position within the US market. Appointed to all National account in both the US and Canada, he is also involved in Europe and other international projects (France, China, Singapore, Venezuela)

In 2000, he became a partner of Machinex Group of company (Vice-President). One of the leader in industrial equipment manufacturing for the recycling and waste industry and participated in multiple facets of the business while always focusing on development of the North American Market. In 2006, he moved, with his family to California to oversee several large projects on the west coast while continuing the development of the entire North American business. In 2016, Mr. Belanger joined TORXX Kinetic Pulverizer Limited as Executive Vice President , North American Sales. In 2016 also co-founded Waste Robotics Inc. As president and Directors of Sales, he leads the sales effort in the North American Market while being involve in other facet of the business. 

Today, Waste Robotics is a world leading technology provider that designs and delivers state-of-the-art intelligent recycling robots for various sectors of the recycling industry such as: organics diversion, C&D, fiber, plastics, tires, metal recycling and mining.

Mr. Belanger is highly sought after in the waste management and recycling industries and is regarded as one of the leading systems design engineers in North America.

Mr. Camirand holds a degree in Electrical Engineering (’93) from McGill University. In his junior years, Mr. Camirand piloted significant engineering projects for corporations such as Pétro-Canada, Hong Kong Airport Authorities and Canadian Airlines.

In 1994, as founder and CEO of Cinax Designs, Mr. Camirand led a cutting edge video compression software company through steady growth that culminated, in 2001, in a merger with Ravisent Technologies (NASDAQ:RVST).

Since then, Mr. Camirand has been active in the renewable energy and waste management sectors. In 2005, Mr. Camirand founded Electrigaz Technologies an engineering firm specialized exclusively in the study, design and realization of anaerobic digestion and biogas energy systems, widely recognized as a North American expert in the field of organic waste management.

In 2016, Mr. Camirand co-founded Waste Robotics Inc. As Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Camirand leads a young and passionate team of engineers in the development and delivery of intelligent recycling robots.

Chuck comes to Manatt after heading a successful professional engineering practice offering consulting services related to California state government and environmental matters. As the former director of regulatory affairs with Waste Management in Sacramento for over 20 years, he gained an intimate understanding of how federal and state government regulations can impact key stakeholders in the environmental industry, having represented the interests of the waste management industry before federal, state and local agencies. He is a registered professional civil engineer with the state of California and has served in a number of advisory roles pertaining to the development of public waste policies, permitting, remediation and enforcement.
