construction and demolition

CALGreen Code maintains the standard that 65% of construction and demolition (C&D) debris must be diverted from most job sites in California, but does not have requirements on facility diversion performance. The Sacramento Regional Solid Waste Authority developed a Certification program for mixed C&D sorting facilities that has served as a model for the region and has attracted attention nationwide. The presentation will cover their program development, structure, and performance; protocols and measures for maintaining certification; and how facility certification can be utilized to align existing C&D programs with SB 1383 amendments to Title 27.

Topics and Speakers Include

Mixed C&D Sorting Facility Performance Standards: Navigating Between Title 24 (CalGreen Standards) and Title 27 (SB 1383 Organics Standards) (Sacramento County Department of Waste Management and Recycling - Dave Ghirardelli)
